The issuer address becomes mandatory to issue

8 November 2026 — A complete invoice must carry the address of whoever issues it (art. 6 of Royal Decree 1619/2012). Signing up no longer asks for that address, so Factuarea now checks it when an invoice is issued. In the API v1 and in MCP the check starts on 9 December 2026: until then nothing changes for you.

What changes

• From 9 December 2026 — issuing an invoice of a company with no address, no postal code or no city answers 422, error.code: business_rule_violation and error.subcode: fiscal_profile_incomplete. No number is consumed and the invoice stays as it was: complete the address and call again.
• Until then — it is issued as today. Factuarea only records which companies would be rejected, so you can warn them.
• The web app already rejects it, and asks for the address in a dialog before carrying on with the issuing.

What is covered

The same rule applies to every way of issuing a complete invoice, in the API v1, in MCP and in the web app:

• issuing a draft (POST /v1/companies/{company}/invoices/{invoice}/issue, tool issue_invoice) and moving it to issued with the status change;
• creating an invoice already issued (kiosk checkout, status: issued, recurring and scheduled invoices);
• corrective invoices of a complete invoice, and the complete invoice that substitutes a simplified one.

Simplified invoices (F2) and their corrective invoices (R5) are never rejected: art. 7 of the regulation does not require the issuer address. Drafts, quotes, proformas and delivery notes are not affected either.

What to do

Check whether a company can issue before the date, with GET /v1/companies/{company}/issuing-readiness: while the address is missing it lists fiscal_profile_incomplete in blockers. The required fields are the company's address, postal code and city; province and country are optional.
