Cause
The rendering service could not produce the PDF. The document and its data are intact — what failed is the file.
What to do
On a direct PDF download, retry after a few seconds (respect Retry-After when present); if it persists, report the request_id to support and meanwhile share the document through its public link. On a revisioned artifact (error.code of a failed artifact), retry the same artifact only when retryable is true; do not create another presentation or replace retained bytes with a link to another version.
