A series is never deleted through the API: it keeps the documents it numbered and its code is not released. `PUT` and `DELETE` are not operations on a series.

Cause
A series is never deleted through the API: it keeps the documents it numbered and its code is not released. PUT and DELETE are not operations on a series.
What to do
To retire it, archive it with POST /v1/companies/{company}/series/{id}/archive (restore it with /unarchive); to change it, use PATCH /v1/companies/{company}/series/{id}.
