The relation would close a cycle of subtasks or blockers: the target task already depends, directly or indirectly, on the source one, and neither could be completed first.
What to do
Review the chain with GET /v1/tasks/{task}/relations and create the relation in the direction that does not close the cycle, or first delete the relation that causes it.
