You already have a running timer in this company. Each user can have at most one at a time per company, so that recorded time does not overlap between tasks.
What to do
Stop the running timer with POST /v1/task-timers/stop —if you do not know which task it is on, check it with GET /v1/task-timers/current— and call POST /v1/tasks/{task}/timer/start again.
